This configuration allows the power flow in both directions and it is suitable for researching applications like the wind turbine plant as well as classical four-quadrant motor drives. In this example induction machine is connected to the back-to-back converter. Two LARA-100s are connected through their DC buses. One application board (APP GCC board) is employed for the grid voltage measurements, while another application board (APP INC/ABS encoder board) is used for machine speed (position) acquisition. One controller, TMS320F28335 here controls both LARA-100s. The controller can be easily programmed directly from Simulink, using PERUN PowerDesk software suite.Grid currents are measured directly from the LARA power stage through Motherboard, while grid voltages are procured via LARA-100 GCC Application Board.
